Compliance Analyst

Job Summary:

The Compliance Analyst is responsible for providing support for the implementation and administration of the Financial Crime Risk Management Program of Fidelity Bank (Bahamas) Limited.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence functions, including the detection and reporting of Know Your Customer (KYC) identity deficiencies/concerns and suspicious transactions and activities

• Utilize risk-based tools and monitoring systems to identify and report on any unusual or suspicious activity

• Perform and participate in quality control reviews and other periodic monitoring activities required by the Financial Crime Risk Management Program of the Bank

• Conduct reviews and make recommendations for the enhancement of the Financial Crime Risk Management Program of the Bank

• Assist with the administration of the Financial Crime Risk Management Training Program

• Remain cognizant of changes in the laws, regulations and trends related to financial crime risk management. It is expected that a current knowledge of all financial crime risk management rules and guidelines is maintained

• Maintain the financial crime risk management related databases of the Bank

• Ensure all record keeping requirements are adhered to

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Banking, or related field or 3-5 years working experience in Banking

• BIFS Certificates in Anti-Money Laundering & Compliance Systems (Introduction and Intermediate) or an equivalent certification.

• Working knowledge of Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance requirements

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel, Word and Outlook programs

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong research and reporting abilities

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with an eye for details

• Ability to multi-task and meet stipulated deadlines

• Proven leadership skills
